Just thought I'd tell everyone how much I love Freecycle in my area! I joined 2 days ago and on the first day I was able to give away our old dryer and couch! didn't have to pay for someone to take it away.
Also posted looking for a fish tank, dog kennel for our new doggie, and a small freezer for my sis (she has a new baby who needs her attention!) Wish me luck!

Good luck! we have gotten some fantastic items, and given away tons of stuf too. It's a great idea.

Thx! I'm really hoping to find a small freezer for my sis. That would make her so happy.

I have said on other threads that Freecycle is the BEST. I have a beautiful Oriental Rug in my dining room that I got on Freecycle. Here's a short list of just some of the things I've gotten from Freecycle:
Books
Toys for the kids
Snow pants
Winter coats
Clothes
Christmas items
OK, now here's what I've gotten rid of (saved well over $100 to get rid of at the dump, maybe even $200) an old dryer, couches, a non-working rider mower, toys, kitchen stuff, tons of clothes.
You get the idea. It's a win win. Best of luck to all you freecyclers.

I really like freecycle because I have been able to give away a lot of things that I had no use for & no room for.:D

I have never been lucky enough to get anything from someone on Freecycle. I swear I think some people live on their computers for that stuff. On the other hand, I have gotten rid of a TON of stuff.

Within an hour of joining I found homes for 2 packs of shrink wrap, 4 teacups, a baby bathtub, and 2 bags of baby clothes! Here's hoping I can get rid of much more and find a 60 inch wide baby gate!

I love freecycle also! I have given away lots of clothing & kids toys & knick knack items ~ I have found lots of books, magazines, kids clothing & toys ~
the only thing that ever bothers me is when someone doesn't show up to pick items up when they say they will, I always try to make sure I'm there when I say I will be. :)

Freecycle is wonderful! Someone got a almost new mattress, my sons hardly used training wheel bike, and some new sheets still in the package.
Today, I sent off a package of new shirts to a single mom that needed presents for her 3 boys. It felt fantastic to help.
I have never gotten anything from freecycle - but the possibilities are endless!
Everyone should join!

I'm about to go pick up a free 10 Gal fish tank today! Woohoo! I priced it at Walmart yesterday and it was $30, also getting an "Aquarium Guide for Dummies" for free. Yea!
I'm piecing together a fish tank setup off of Freecycle for my living room. Next is to search for the heater, filter, and a stand. :grad:
