My last payment on my Jeep cleared the bank today. Now she is mine! Man, that was the sweetest ride home from work today, knowing that I own it outright! And to toot my horn even more....a couple of weeks ago I went browsing at a dealership. I fell in love with a $20,000 car. They offered me an awesome interest rate and a bunch of incentives....but I walked away! I was so proud of myself for holding off on that. I think I'm going to baby this vehicle as long as I can.

That is great!! I kept my Explorer 2 years after it was paid off before I got anything new. But my Transmission and a few other things were going wrong and they could not promise me that getting it fixed would last long. So we bought (just last friday) a 2005 Dodge Magnum and I love it only had 26,000 miles on it and one owner and it looks brand brand new. LOVE IT!!

My husband's car will be paid off next year. It is the last bill I pay every month and I always say that I wish it was paid for already.

Congrats on paying off your jeep. I drive a 1995 Cougar xr7 and she has 159,000 miles on her. But I have taken good care of here and I will drive her til the wheels fall off. It is a good feeling not having a car payment...Kathy

Good for you for walking away from buying that other vehicle and good for you for paying off your jeep. Dave Ramsey said the car always drives better and sweeter once it is paid off.
