View Full Version : What are some of the homesteading crafts you'd love to learn? homesteadmamma 08-26-2002, 10:49 AM Quilting, weaving, spinning, basket making, etc. What are some you'd like to learn. Sara Noel 08-26-2002, 02:58 PM Definitely handspinning, weaving, sewing, rughooking, and quilting. I told Chelle last week that I wanted to adopt a granny to teach me all types of things. Sara doodlebug 08-27-2002, 12:48 AM Quilting, I've been saving fabrics for years and one of these days I'm gonna make a quilt! LOL, I've been saying that for years. Make baskets from pine needles. Learn to knit. Dehydrate foods. Make rugs from fabric scraps. Make soap, but I'm a chicken when it comes to working with lye.:chicken: And I'd love to learn to do some woodworking like making cedar chests and elaborate birdhouses (I can make a simple one), and cute shelves, etc. MJsLady 09-24-2002, 11:28 PM Rug making, sewing (well enough to make my own clothes) knitting, crocheting, anything my great grandmother might have done....:D heaven 09-24-2002, 11:40 PM quilting and basket making for me. i would love to do both. spinning would be kewl too i can just see me with a spinning wheel in the guest room. that would actually look good in there when it is completed. |
