WOHOO~~~~ I'm finally debt free on Feb 1st after a bit over one year of aggressive snowballing on the CC debts. WHAT A RELIEF!! I'm so much better in shape both mentally and physically. Who would have thought a cc debt could cost you your health and life.
Thank you again for all of you on FF, your stories inspired me and encouraged me during the darkest days when I almost wanted to give up because it was so darn hard to be frugal. There are so much temptations around, on TV, on Magazines, in the Mall, in the supermarket....etc, that you would think you're insane not to splurge just a little bit.
I had to come to FF every single night in the past year (still do) to read the signature page of other FF members, just to see how well they were doing and from that to encourage myself that I could do the same.
It was a tough long journey and I've finally seen the end of it. For this, I owe FF and all of its members my most sincere gratitude. Thank you again.
Now I can finally picture how I want my future to be, which I didn't even dare to touch in that area before. My life is now my own, not belongs to CC Companies.

Congrats! I'm also really glad to see in your signature that you have a wedding fund. So smart! I never want to go in debt for a one-day event.

Thanks so much for your responses~~ A few members asked me how I did it, so I'm going to answer it here.

I managed to pay off the debts in a year is to have working two jobs (one full time on weekday, one part time on weekends) and doing Ebay selling at night. But most of all, I think Ebay did the trick of speeding up the process, because I was only expecting to make extra $50 to $100 a month when I first started it, but then it boomed up to a thousand dollar business a month. I devoted at least 90 hours a week to work three jobs combined plus running to the post office every morning before I head to work. Before I found the right items to sell, it took me about 3 or 4 months of test driving on various products.

P.S. Right now I'm selling electronic/cell phone parts online, I buy them in bulk quantity (either order them thru out of state or buy them in local electronic wholesale stores) and sell them individually. The only thing need to keep in mind is most of the new phone models will only last at most a year of popularity, then you have to move on to next new phone model. Some research need to be done.

As for part of the townhouse downpayment fund, I finally received my bonus from my full time job in Jan and my tax refund, so there it is.

As for the remodeling fund, the seller was willing to give me 5k cash back at the closing for new carpet and paint, because I sent in a termination notice right before the option pending period and he got freaked out. So I counted it as a part of my fund.

Congrats!!!!
I've found that spending time on FF also reduces the temptation to buy things elsewhere. I've got a long way to go to be debt free though. Probably about 3 years, but I'm about to get my first cc paid off:-)
