this is awesome!
yeah so I am taking a political issues class right now and we did a personal test that was like...which side of the political spectrum are you? and I was the second highest conservative in the class...haha

I am also very politically conservative, and I know what you mean about the age thing. Once I got into University, I felt like I was the only Conservative around. However, I know that can't be true, since Canada is enjoying a Conservative government (albeit a minority one) right now.

Darn...there's no Canadian flag smily.

~Definately Anti-Socialist Conservative here. The discussion about making the cervical cancer vaccine mandatory is exactly the kind of thing that Democrats push, claiming it will help people but really is just a step toward a government telling you exactly what you can and can't do. ACK!!!! If I wanted that I'd move to China.~

Don't agree with all Conservative views (abortion for instance, I think it's a womans choice) but do strongly embrace most. Sure wish Republicans would get back to their more conservative roots, they are being too wishy washy for me. Miss the days of Ronald Reagan.

I am mostly conservative. There are a few issues that I tend to see in a more liberal light but I tend to lean conservative. I am so tired of the government telling us what to do constantly! But I do support the right to choose and several charitable/social programs to help those in need.

I'm with Darlene on this. I miss Ronnie and Maggie also. I wish the liberals would quit acting like conservatives are all pro-war and fundamentalist Christian. That's not what it is all about. They could try taking a class in economics and it might help them get a better perspective. Raising the min wage, while it SOUNDS good for the lower income, actually hurts them and often increases the polarity of the income distribution, but then I think the ones in power actually know that.

Oh yeah!! I'm with Darlene and the others....where's Ronald Reagan when we need him! I call myself a "compassionate conservative"...most of all I don't want the government running all the programs(I've seen what they've done with welfare, and it ain't pretty). My moral and religious views are VERY VERY conservative.
With the abortion issue...I don't think making it ILLEGAL is gonna stop anything. I'll work with crisis centers to make it UNNECESSARY...attacking the core issue that gives abortion clinics the business. I want to see them closed down because they have no clients.

I'm very conservative. The moral issues are my main concerns but I'm also fiscally and govermentally conservative. I think the goverment's job is to protect the country from outside dangers and internal crime, not to "help" people or tell us what to do. The less government interferes in my life, the better. ;)

I'm conservative and I am getting more involved with issues every day. I do not want the government constantly telling me what to do and that's exactly where we are headed.

Jo, you and I think so much alike :) I can vote in the US, but I am still unsure of who I will be voting for in the upcoming election. I cannot stand Bush and fear for another one..

Very much so, which people even find surprising at my age (23). I grew up in anything but a conservative household but always felt the way i do about things. When i married my husband I immediately felt welcome with his church and family which are very conservative. I got married 3 months to the day after I turned 18 and havent looked back in over 5 years to the way my life could have gone if i didnt have the support i have. We are very conservative with our money, our political view, and our lifestyles in general.
