Finally my DH has gotten the extra $$$ we have been waiting for, and I have my $1000 in the EF :) Yeah

Now to start on that debt snowball.

I did think we would have more money to start this with, but for some reason we are behind in our budget this month. I have to go back through and figure out where that extra went.

But.. yeah I am on my way! :)

If you have not tried the baby steps, I highly recommend it! Even though the EF is only $1000. I definatley feel better just knowing that it is there. It has actually jump started a lot of our other finances.

Good luck!! :)

OOOOOOOOO car repairs hurt the EF although I am VERY happy that we had it. Now I have to build it back up again and it seems even harder to do this time.

I think I need to try and have a garage sale.
I love going to them but we never get any people. I am going to have to try and talk some friends into making a multi-family sale.

:thud: car repairs are nasty little things :thud:

I think a garage sale would be a great idea - this is the time of year for it, and with enough advertising - maybe you'll get a decent turn out!

never hurts to try!

Reading the TMMO and following the Baby Steps most definitely changed our lives. We are now debt free except the house and are on BS #6. :mdance: Without this plan we would never be this far and have this much stability. We now live a cash only and simplier life and have more peace of mind then ever before. We are much happier. It is worth it. Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace Book is also another highly recommended read.

WTG! They say the first step is always the hardest, that's a big accomplishment and it will help you sleep better. On to the next! :)

Good idea to go over the budget and find out where the extra went. Its always amazed me when I wasn't watching so closely, how quickly the money disappeared. I have to really play the money police around here. :D
