First off thank you sara for adding this forum.I know so many of us will benifit from this.I have tons of great ideas to get this going and to keep us motivated, but first lets all fess up to our weight loss goals, struggles and weaknesses(yes chocolate)I'll start.

Hi my name is Amanda and I am a cracker munching, chip bitting, popcorn tossing snackaholic!:D I also like to indulge on chocolate and have been known to eat a whole cake by myself in 2 days(this happens a lot at birthdays)I have lost almost 60 lbs from having ds going from 204lbs-145.I am wanting to loose 20 more lbs to be at my goal weight.I am allready at my goal size but I need to firm up a lot.I want to start eating better,my thing is that i will eat when depressed. And if you have read some of my threads lately you will know last month blew and i pigged out the whole time.I also want to get back into my daily workout routine,

as if you all don't know my name is Heaven (On here and in real life) my biggest problem is that when i think i need a diet i start pigging out more. I have tried everything known to man, most of the problem is because i am so utterly depressed about the life i live and i know i need to take care of that first. Just getting to that point,, which should have happened months ago. SO this is the deal, i am starting to eat better. but i have been having problems with my kidneys so i need to stop the salt and start the water. Okay enough of my chatter.

Well, I have finally lost the weight I've been wanting to..I could stand to lose about 3 more pounds..

I want to get a 4 or 6 pack abs, as well as that definition by the navel that looks like a V ..so far I have only have a two pack, getting close to a four pack (before I eat lol) :D
I want to also make sure I ALWAYS do my yoga at least 3 or 4 times a week..it does SO much good for me :)
Same with a high intensity workout with weights..

My weaknesses are cereal, and sandwhiches..For the longest time I didn't even buy my kind of bread..I have been doing good eating healthy stuff..The trick for me is keeping fresh celery or carrots in the fridge..and other veggies close on hand..and filling up and that and water..Plus not depriving myself of what I really want ..

Mustang..I don't know what you're schedule is like, but it helps me to fit in a workout when ayla naps, or when dh plays with her outside, or before she wakes up and/or after she goes to bed :)
I also try to fit in a walk with her, and walk pretty fast when I go.

Seeing that you have three children I can imagine fitting it in that way would be pretty hard!

At first the way I started fitting it in was cutting back on the amount of housework/cooking I would do..then I cut back on the amount of computer time and coupon clipping/list making time...I just keep switching around where I'm cutting time out to make room for exercise :D

Oh lol, another thing I'll do if I know I'll be too lazy in the morning, I'll go to bed wearing my workout outfit :P

My goal is to maintain maintain and if I lose some weight I'll be soo happy! I have yo yo'd so much in the past that I really need to keep up with my exercise.

I try REALLY hard to eat well, but being a teacher, it is hard because people always bring in food to the teacher's room for one ocassion or another. And, ladies, they aren't bringin' in carrot sticks!

After I had dd, I actually got lower than my pre-pregnancy weight. The way I did this was through a website that a friend of mine started where we would log what we ate for the day and just support each other. I'd "kick her butt" if she logged in 3 Peppermint Patties (her weakness) in one day and she'd start "yelling" if I didn't drink my 8 glasses of water. Somehow, knowing that I was accountable to someone else for what I ate really made me watch what I ate and exercise a little more regularly. I don't enjoy exercise, so usually, mine consists of a walk with dd and dh and the dog after dinner. It's not a marathon and it's not aerobics, but it gets me moving.

So, I'm starting a Food Log thread. If you want to join me, please do! But beware, I'll get on your case if you aren't eating right!

sounds like a plan. As for the exercise, try to start with just 3 minutes a day 3 times a week. I hate to exercise but i don't feel like i have wasted 3 minutes of my life doing it. then after 2 or 3 weeks add 2 minutes. and just keep doing that until you are at 15 minutes aday. (Get up 3 minutes early those days and have it done first thing think you will feel better. GOOD LUCK ANd i am going to the food one. now.

I want to get serious about changing my habits.
I have cut off soda pop, my HUGE weakness (about a 2 liter per day!) I am trying to replace it with water
I also try to do most of my cooking from scratch to avoid things like exces salt and sugar.

Okay here goes. I am way overweight, the last time I went to the doctor I weighed 237, this week when I weighed myself I weighed 227, and now I am second guessing whether or not the dr. said 227, or 237. Wow, I can't believe I actually admitted how much I weigh. I have lied about that for years(drivers liscense and such) I have really come to the point in my life where I want to feel better. I will be a full fledged teacher with my own classroom in a little more than one year and I want to be able to enjoy my students, P.E. and all. I have made a vow to not eat candy- NONE, I have left myself open to an occasional dessert, but I quit on the candy, I love it, I loved ciggarettes too, but I don't do that any more either. I have cut way back on the amount of calories I intake and increased my water...still not ready to give up my diet pepsi tho, not too bad only 1-3 a day at most...
