We hit a few garage sales and got:

1 magazine holder (really great shape, oak, nice size) $15
1 magazine holder (brand new in the box, light Walmart kinda wood) $5 (I've been looking for these for the upstairs and downstairs bathroom for months!)
1 solid wood, low 2 shelf bookcase (we needed one for dd's room, because her other one was tall and cheap and I was always waiting for it to fall on her) $10
Toolbox $10 (Craftsman, antique-y...dh really wanted it)
Brand new package of Crayola coloring book markers .25
Winnie-the-Pooh See and Say game $1

Dh just went back to buy a beautiful 1920's cedar chest to use as a coffee table in our living room $50

So, a pretty good day. Not the best deals, but we have been looking for EVERY SINGLE THING we bought (well, except the markers and the game, but I wanted dd to have something little)

I'd love to see the cedar chest too! Dh went back to get it and it was gone. Boo-Hoo! Guess that'll teach us not to have enough cash on us when we go garage saling!

The good thing is, it brings out total for the day down $50!

Awe I'm so sorry. That has happened to me a number of times and so now if I want something I'll ask the seller to keep it for me until I run and get some cash. Most seller's will do that.

Oh well, at least you saved $50. Too bad though, I sure would have loved to see that.

I stopped at 1 sale today and picked up a brand new car booster seat-still in the original box for $15. Not a great price, but not bad.:smball:

You got some good stuff for good prices anyway but darn that the cedar chest was gone. I HATE it when that happens!
