I've done so many diets and they've never worked. I went to Weight Watcher's and got tired of counting points.

This time I'm working on healty eating, small portions and quitting when I'm full. I'm working on a walking program of at least 30 minutes every other day. I'm eating more veggies and no red meat.

What program are you doing?

I'm trying to do at least 2-3 hours a week of high intensity aerobics, at least 1 hour of weights a week..along with at least 1 hour of yoga a week (shooting for 2 ), 2 hours of walking a week..Also 1 hour of jogging a week..

I try to eat until I'm not hungry but not full either..

I try to drink a lot of water and I'm trying to not eat so much mayo and butter/margarine and crackers. Crackers are my enemy :D

Did richard Simmons deal a meal, Turbo protein diet(dumb) and now weight watchers, I need the structure of pts. I was doing WW and thought I had it down(had lost 24lbs) stopped counting pts just kept things like I was (I thought) 10lbs added on and I am back counting pts. Maybe when I am at goal I will try to maintain with out the pts. but till then I am counting!

I have tried them all, and I mean them ALL.... what works for me is eating better, portion control and working out.... right now I am eating lower carb only because my husband is a weight lifter and he is BIG on protein... We eat wheat bread, brown rice, tuna, chicken, fish, bran cereal, lots of fruits and veggies, beans, low fat beef, and lots of water.... I measure my food at every meal, you would not believe the difference that has made....

I have also tried them all except WW, but it seems like such a hassle to count points, anyways, I am on a low carb diet and as you can see by my siggy I am doing pretty good, although I have slacked off a LOT in the past month, I have been at the same weight for a few weeks and I need to get moving again

It is so nice to find what works!

I am going to pull from a LONG time ago WW diet for limiting starches and The Zone/Atkins.

Protien--Unlimited

Carbs--60grams per day, total including not more than 20 grams starch (bread, rice, pasta)

Fats--self limiting by merit of the lack of carbs to put it on. :)
quality fats direct from nature, but not eaten with starchy carbs.

Walking---20 mins/ day

Work out--M/W/F at gym with '16' who will put me through the football weight lifting and muscle building. My own personal 'Mother', to see I get it right and keep me focused.

I am going to start doing low carb tomorrow. I just feel like I am in better control of the food war when I am low-carbing.

I am going to try drinking more water, eating smaller portions and cutting out a lot of sweets. I am debating on doing slim-fast again it worked pretty good for me last time I dieted.

After the new year, I am going to go back on the Zone diet. I feel the best on this diet. It's basic healthy eating- whole grain foods with lean protein and lots of veggies, and a few fruits. I am not a fanatic about it- I basically eat an omelet for breakfast, made with 2 eggs and 2 egg whites. I add peppers and mushrooms, to it, and have a glass of juice. Lunch consists of a very large leafy green salad with some lean protein- chicken or tuna. I add a handful of raw nuts to it, and sometimes a few dried cranberries. Dinner is a piece of lean meat, brown rice or whole wheat pasta, a veggie and a large salad. In the beginning I add 1/2 of a Zone bar inbetween breakfast and lunch, and also inbetween lunch and dinner.

After I had dd I did WW from home. A friend of mine got me the point counter and I was actually lower than pre-pregnancy weight within 3 months. (Breastfeeding certainly helped me lose the weight, as it sped up my metabolism and kept me eating healthy so dd would be getting healthy milk.) However, when we moved, I lost the point counter slide thingy and have been dying to get another one, but I don't want to spend the money to join, so I don't get to do it anymore.

I started Slim Fast today... I'll have that for breakfast and lunch then eat supper. Trying to drink lots of water... and limit soda to 1 a day (can't seem to give it up completely at this point in my life). Trying to avoid snacking and eating late at night (a problem for me). If I must snack I will try to have fruits or veggies... maybe a string cheese or a few crackers.

I'm doing Weight Watcher's. It's really not that difficult with the points system. After a while, you learn the points value of the foods you eat most often. And for me, I like that WW is well-balanced, because if I do my own thing, I'm not going to be getting good nutrition. Also, I like the weekly weigh-in, the lecture and getting together with my friends to exchange tips, recipes, etc. :)

I am also doing WW at home. I am pretty much following the point system and using my slider thingy!!!:D I am drinking water, water, water!!! No soda!!!!!!! I am making sure to take a vitamin (I am using that new One A Day Weight Control one). I am going to Curves 3 days a week, I am using my treadmill 7 days a week, on the days I go to Curves I use the tm at night, on the days I don't go to Curves I use the tm morning and night (35-40 minutes each time) I am also just starting a beginner Yoga tape and hopefully can do that 3 or 4 days a week. I also make sure to take time each day to stretch and do a few situps since all I can do is a few!!!!!!!:)

I am following WW myself, and 24+ lbs. are lost and gone forever. Still have 75 to go. When I joined and first weighed in, I about fell off the scale as I looked at the numbers. I couldn't believe I had let myself get that bad. WW seems to be working for me. I like the weekly meetings and tips I get about what has worked for others, hoping it might work on me as well, even though each member's metabolism is different. Our leader Jim has lost 75 lbs. on the WW program and kept it off for 4 years. Boy, does he look good! And he's funny, non-judgemental, and very inspirational. I do not mind stepping on the scale in front of him.

I have probably tried just about every weight loss program in the book: Nutri/Systems, Weigh Down, Stillman high-protein/low-fat diet, liquid protein with one meal a day, Slim Fast (gave me diarrhea). WW has worked for me, and I get to eat real food, just normal-sized portions instead of family-sized portions! Now I gotta focus on getting in the exercise. If it weren't so durn cold here, I'd be out walking -- !!
