I am thinking of trying a video or DVD to lose weight... since I live in a place where I am not able to get out and walk.

Does anyone have any suggestions? What tapes work for you? What have you heard about some of them? Any hints?
Please help? :)

I got some older tapes from a garage sale..

My FAVORITE is kathy smiths Abs/thighs workout
then I also love her step aerobic one too..I love it just as much..

I have bought newer step tapes that say things like 'dance step' and I can't follow them one bit at all..

I like Richard Simmons tapes for my overall workout. And when I want REALLY sweat Tae Bo.

I like more "dancey" workouts I tried pilates and it was sooo boring.

I use Walk Away The Pounds (the 1 and 2 mile DVD). There is also a 3 mile DVD that I am going to try in a few weeks. :)

since you say you don't like to do them why not try one fo the 10 minute workout they have out there, I do them when I don't want or can't spend 1/2 an hour and they do get the heart pumping..

I love the Walk Away The Pounds tapes by Leslie Sansone. I have a set of 4 videos (1 mile, 2 mile, 3 mile, and 10 minute tone up). The set also came with the weighted exercise balls. The tapes are also available on dvd now (not sure about the 10 minute tone up tape though) or you can buy the video set at Sam's for around $17.99 (contains the weighted exercise balls and 3 tapes - 1 mile, 2 mile, and 3 mile).
