Yesterday gas was 2.98.9 per gallon, today the same gas station was 3.11.9 per gallon. Now that's quite a jump in less than 24 hours, wonder where it will stop?

Gasoline just jumped to $3.09 this weekend from $2.98.

2.83 here at one place, but the rest of the stations we saw were 2.89.

It probably won't ever stop, speculative investors are driving up the gasoline and oil commodity prices. There's actually been less demand in recent weeks for oil and gasoline and there's not a decrease in supply. ugh we are now over £1 a litre in the UK. I commute 15 or so miles to my job so just get on with it. I'd prefer it if the price was lower though!

Holiday travel is just around the corner... anyone else notice they always seem to jump about this time every year? Grr....

Try $3.59 a gallon for diesel, and diesel takes less refining to make, it SHOULD BE CHEAPER THAN REGULAR GASOLINE!!!!

When I bought my truck 14 years ago diesel was .79 a gallon.

Needless to say Hilde (my truck) and I don't venture off the farm very often anymore :(

In my travels yesterday (to run a few errands- got to make it sound exciting)- it was $2.99 locally- in the one town over it was $3.03 and in the other town $3.05. I heard that they are expecting oit to hit $3.27 by mid week- so I had to drop - $73 to get both of our vehicles filled.

$2.92 last time I got some. I wish I could have afforded to get more, because it's on its way to $4, according to all reports. I think they do that to scare people into getting a full tank before it goes up.

A big part of why I moved in Feb. was because of the commute I had---40 miles roundtrip to work each day. Now I have 5 miles roundtrip each day. I figured with gas prices probably never going to be reasonable again, eventually moving would almost pay for itself.

The cheapest I've found around here was $3.15 a couple of days ago :(

Ours was 2.79 yesterday! I'm sure it'll go up tomorrow morning.

$2.79 this morning. DH had been out of town, anxious to see what it is running in other areas.Doesn't seem to be bothering people. Still seeing boats, expect hunters to pile in from out of town.

I have to put more gas in my car today. Last weekend we were at $3.02 and yesterday it was at $3.19 for the cheapest stuff!! I have to pump today, but I am only putting $20 in the tank. It's getting out of hand again!!

We pay per litre, when I convert it to gallons =3.92$/gallon here and it's been like this off and on since this past spring.

I just drove by the gas station when I went food shopping and it was $2.99 in PA.

3.09 here. I only need enough gas in my car to take my daughter back and forth to school and i'm running out of gas by Thursday

lucky for me though- the company i work for pays for my gas...

it's a nice perk i get for dealing with the idiotic demands and complaints(re:high frustration level) of the employees and customers

We are up to $3.25 now.

Ours is roughly $3.05 around here. Now, I have taken the kids to school and it was x.xx 20 minutes later, jumped sometimes, .05 sometimes as much as twenty cents higher.

was $3.03 a couple of weeks ago, then went to $3.15, yesterday I just about fainted -- I was on empty and regular was $3.39!! I filled up while I could still afford to, but it came to over $53!!!! Yikes!

How did you control yourself and NOT dope slap that guy? UGH! I HATE IT when people take it out on the poor customer service people who can do nothing about it, sigh. Hope you said something kind to make the clerks day a little easier.

I'm not driving my truck right now, ole Hilde is having an issue with her glow plug relay so doesn't like to start without being plugged in first. She's sitting with two tanks full of diesel and will sit for a bit, need to get her in for a bit of maintenance. So I'm driving hubbies little ford ranger to work at night and if needed for errands. Feels funny to be in a small truck (and automatic to boot) but it's got a great sound system and I just crank my Mellencamp CD's and get funny looks :)

Here I am saving my coins to purchase a bike. :) After the holidays are over I'm seriously considering only finding work within a walk or bike ride. If it gets too much out of hand I might look for a bike for dh to ride his 2.5 miles to work, but dunno if he'll go for that, haha.

Gas is 2.88 here. Not the highest I have seen it, thankfully.

Prices have dropped here over hte last coupleof days. Sitting at 2.92 here.

When I went out Thursday, it was $3.19 here.

im paying $3.16 right now for premium, but thats at Costco. Around some of the casinos I saw it for $3.30.
My saving grace is that I do deliveries for work and get paid about .50 cents a gallon, which after expenses means Im making about $12.00 off of a gallon of gas. I try to do as many deliveries as possible!

Honestly, I have no idea how much gas is around here, as Brian and I both drive diesels!! I do know it's over $3.00/gallon though. We have our diesel delivered to our home once a month, and when he came to fill the tanks on Thursday, we were charged $3.09/gallon. The guy who delivers it, will sometimes fill up some of his customers tanks, if he knows the price is going to jump significantly, and I think that's what he did for us this month!!

I went to one gas station that was supposed to be 3.12 and it was 3.29 like all the rest. All the reported prices were wrong! They did not do down, either and then back up in one day - I know because I looked while on my way. Do you think the stations are purposely reporting the cheaper prices?

Handy Mom...that wouldn't surpise me one bit, if the stations were doing that. Anything to get your business, I guess. However, if the stations are falsely reporting their prices, I would think your state's attorney general could/would get involved!

I am horrified! Gas went from $3.19 a gallon for the cheapest stuff at the cheapest place in my area, then two days later it jumped to $3.21, and of course it's the day I go to pump gas for the week. I am putting $20 in a week now, it's not filling up the car but it's getting my to just over 1/2 a tank of gas and it gets me through the week, so I can't really complain to much, I can still get to work and back each day and my mom's house and back one day a week.

Our gas stopped at $2.999 for low-grade at most gas stations. Thursday I filled up at $3.119 for mid-grade (old car) & it was the same price last night. It may go up since I'm posting today... hope not!

I'm pretty sure gas buddy is updated by users. It doesn't get updated unless someone in that area updates the price. I'm not positive though.

I paid 3.03 last week; spent 15.80. today I paid 3.21; spent 17.80- both times at Costco.
Elsewhere, the price for regular unleaded, which is what I buy, is 3.29-3.42.

I only buy 5 gallons at a time, enough to get to and from work. But, if prices go down again, which I doubt, I will buy a full tank.:reindeer:

Argh! The price on base just went up to $3.40/liter for regular unleaded. Unfortunately they have a monopoly so we have no other choice than to buy at whatever price they decide:nrant:

Heard on fox news that the cost of gas has went up 40% since last year at this time.
