I had an unexpected bills recently, I had to buy 2 tires for my car because the tires were ready to fall apart. I'm working extra hard to replace the money I spent but I think i'm going to have to skip my gas bill that is due next week because of it. My gas bill is 96 and i'm on the budget plan to pay 77. Does anyone know if there is a consequence to paying a bill 2 weeks late when you are on a budget plan?

Hopefully there will only be a late fee. In worse case scenario, you may be removed from the budget plan. Could you call them and explain? Maybe they can make arrangements and it would be okay to be a few weeks late. It seems as long as they are aware (because you informed them ahead of time) then there may only be a late fee.
Best of luck!!

I think Pammy is right. Just call them and explain. Hugs! I hope it works out easily.

I would call and explain, most times they will take a partial payment without a fee. *hugs*

Yeah, I would call them and explain that you will pay the bill but it will be a few weeks late. Is there grace period late date on your bill? I'm sure you are not the only customer feeling the crunch right now, and most companies will work with you if you call them in advance. I would call them today. Good luck and let us know what they say. I'm sure it will be O.K..

I called them and told them when I would pay it and they are letting me stay on the budget plan. I was worried that I wouldn't be allowed to be on the budget plan anymore. I need to stay on the budget plan in case heating bills are really high this winter.

Thank you all for the advice about calling them, I didn't think to do that myself.

Glad it worked out for you. I think if you let them know ahead of time, they are more willing to allow you more time.
