Of course, I am not counting on the amount they determined online because you just can't because of the red tape but I'd be a fool not to go in and apply. I guess we are in worse shape than I thought.......:bang:

Here is the online determination I got...............

"It appears that you may be eligible for Food Stamps. Based on the information you provided, you may be eligible for between $392 to $402 in Food Stamps per month.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Based on your answers, you may be eligible for "expedited service." Households entitled to expedited service must receive their benefits not later than 7 days after you complete the application. This is much faster than for most people. (The normal waiting time for food stamps can be up to 30 days.) This is because your resources are very low. So you could probably use food stamps right away.

You may qualify for expedited service if you have income less than $150 this month and/or assets less than $100 a month. You also qualify if your income for this month and your assets are not enough to pay for your shelter.
Call your local food stamp office right away to see if you are eligible for expedited service. If you are, then you will get your food stamps more quickly than other people who are not eligible.
Contact your local office for specific information and to fill out an application.
You can also click here for a listing of State Food Stamp Information/Hotline Numbers.

For more information about the next step to filling your grocery bag through the Food Stamp Program, please click here: http://www.fns.usda.gov/fsp/applicant_recipients/10steps.htm.

NOTE: Please remember that the results you received today are only an ESTIMATE. The results might not be right. You might get more or less food stamps than the estimate shows. If these results say you are NOT eligible for food stamps, you COULD still get them. Every state's rules for food stamps are a little different.
Food stamp workers are the only people that can officially determine whether or not a person is eligible for food stamp benefits. To find out if you or others are eligible, complete a food stamp application form and apply at a local food stamp office."

If you can get help to pay for food that will be more money that you can use for bills or something

You can print off the application online and fill it out at home, then when you take your app in get an appointment

Make sure you take 2-3 months worth of pay statements/ stubs, bills, ect with you.

If you are currently pregnant make sure to take legal documentation from a dr.
