did you see jim cramer on toda,y show this morning? he said that we are already in a recession. People on here called it a while ago. Of course no onr from the gov't will say we are. matt asked him what normal ppl can do. cramer said we'll have to buckle down, esp on high ticket items, and BUDGET! they also mentioned some type of tax refund to help get economy going again. Inflation will supposedly go down in a recession. Looks like they have all of the segments from yesterday on the site but none from today yet,,, maybe later today? http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/3032633/#

I didn't see the show but saw one last week that explained that a recession was caused by people not buying stuff! Ugh! I can't figure this stuff out. All I know is 'we're broke' and can't spend. :furious:

Even though the government says we aren't in a recession because we have yet to meet the standard definition of one (two consecutive quarters of downward growth, I think it is), let's face it, we're in a recession.

And I know that the experts say to spend to get out of one, because that stimulates positive growth.

Right now I can't worry too much about the government. I'm trying to stay afloat and take care of my family. And I'm not going to spend unless it's for my family's welfare.
