I love Laura Ingalls Wilder and Janette Oke books. What about you? Do you reread them over and over? I can feel the excitement over so many of the simple pleasures they enjoy, feel their pain etc..

I have to agree, both those series are our favorites here also. We love to read the Laura Inglis Wilder books and try to do some of the things they did. Dd loves to dress up as they did and we plan on having a Christmas like they had.

I actually love any fiction book that pertains to homesteading. There aren't many out there though.

I'm with you, I just love the Laura Ingalls Wilder books- I never tire of re-reading them. They are so uplifting. When my kids were little I read the series to them, and they still talk about it now that they are 21, 18 & 14. My favorite is the Long Winter.

I love Laura Ingalls Wilder books. Last year we went to her home in Mansfield, MO and took a tour. Alex dressed in a long dress and we bought bonnets. Even Dh liked it! He is a history teacher and really digs that kind of stuff. We saw the desk where she wrote the books and her first manuscript. A very interesting day.

I loved Laura Engalls Wilder books. I read them many times, when I was older, I am sure Deed has read them also. I always watched the TV show. I only had 2 of my Kids who really, really liked to read. I tried to tell them all what they were missing, by not reading for pleasure. It remains # 1 on my list of favorite things to do. I am never without a book, just in case!!!! :umbrella:

Oh I found the whose boxed set from the 70s about 10 years ago at a flea market! I over paid but I bought it on the spot! Now when the new ones come out on Carolins growing up I buy them, and I bought all the Rose years too!
Next I am working on Charlotte's years!
It must be nice to be able to trace a family back like that!
