My mom found a bread outle in the next town over from me. They carry spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typed breads and Aunt Millie items along with donuts and other types of things.

I'm excited about this because my oldest will only eat spam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typedspam! It is better fried than typed bread, the cheapest I find it is 1.50 but this outlet has it .60 every day!

I'm getting a chest freezer soon and can stock up. This will be a nice savings:clap:

Good for you! I live close to a Wonder Bread outlet. Luckily they also carry the wheat bread brand that we prefer. It about kills me now if we run out and I have to pay full-price for a loaf at the grocery store.

There is a bread outlet in the next town from us 20 mins or so .. i have yet to go in there since most maufactured breads make us sick now that we have made homemade so long. Weird Huh!

We had two bakery outlets that have seem to go out of business... Then just the other day, I found a brand new one on the other side of town. Going twice a month would still be a money saver even though it is a little bit of a drive.

We have two bread outlets, a Hostess/Wonderbread and an Orowheat outlet. I go to the Orowheat outlet because they have a much better selection and the prices are better. They also have deals where you buy two loaves and you get 2 free, or fill up your punch card ($20) and you get 3 free loaves. The loaves of Orowheat are $1.30 ($4.50 if I buy them at the supermarket here) They have a great selection also. I can get hamburger buns, hawaiian rolls and sourdough bread also.

I miss the outlet store. They had great $1 deals... breads, donuts, donut holes (yummy) great deals for school breaks and neighborhood munchers... but alas... it's gone

We have a couple, but I would have to go out of my way to get to them so I don't feel like it is worth it.

We have a Sara Lee outlet near us. Bread is .69 all the time and sometimes if I come on the right day, they have it 4 loaves for a dollar. They will also put the individual 2 pack of cupcakes, honeybuns, etc on sale, usually 5-6 for a dollar.

They also have dinner rolls, hamburger and hot dog buns, bagels, all sorts of stuff. Sara Lee bagels are usually close to $3 in the regular store but they are a 1.19 or less (sometimes buy one get one free!) at the discount store.

We have an Entenmann's/Arnold outlet that carries a few other things as well. I don't get out there often as it's the ONLY place that direction we go unless we're hard-core-thrifting as well (we have a few thrifts closer to us). I love it! I usually buy AT LEAST 3-5 of their entenmann's products & freeze them. Those yummy desserts range anywhere from $1/each to 3/$5 or 2/$4. Great deal when the grocery store has them cheapest at $3.99+.

I'm close to a Schmidts Blue Ribbon factory and outlet. I love the smell of the yeast in the summer time. The usual price for a large loaf is
$1.19 if you purchase 3 loaves.

We have an Orrowheat/Entemann's outlet about 30 minutes from us. However, its only 5 minutes from the Grocery Outlet. So, once a month we head down to the Grocery Outlet and hit the bread outlet on the way back. Then we usually stop for lunch at Costco and pick up a few things there.

That's pretty much the only time we leave town anymore - unless we need to go to the mall, which is one town over.

Where in Michigan are you? Here in Grand Rapids our Aunt Millie's outlet sells bread cheap too. They even have a 39 cent and 99 cent table ... yesterday they had 6-ct. bagels for 39 cents. Got 6 of them since they freeze very well. They also regularly have mini donuts, English muffins and 6-ct blueberry and choc. chip muffins. I freeze them too. Don't say anything, but I regularly by their bags of feed bread (don't know why it classifies as feed bread because most of it isn't even past-dated yet!!) for something like $1.49 for a plastic grocery bag full.

The Aunt Millie's outlet also has a 'membership' card where for $5 a year you can have 10% off every purchase. Yesterday we got 3 bags of stuff for under $3.00!!!!

We have an Aunt Millies outlet and I get wheat pita breads for 39c and bread loaves of all kinds for the same price. I go about every other month and stock up. We don't eat a lot of bread but we love pita bread.

We have a Nickles outlet in town and I LOVE it, I've been known to come out with 20+ loaves of bread if they have the good stuff in there. I've been able to get their WONDERFUL multi grain breads for
.70 a loaf, normally over $3.00 a loaf.

Also buns 4/$1.00 on a good day, angel food cakes for .79, creme sticks for .79

Yep, love the "used bread store" as we call it, can't make myself pay full price anymore at the grocery.

We have a Sunbeam bread outlet that I am ashamed to say I have never been in. I will have to check it out and see what I can find. Is the bread still pretty fresh?

I LOVE my bread store! We don't eat a lot of bread (my kids aren't big on sandwiches) but I stop there once a week (after I hit the meat market where I get fresh extra-lean ground beef for $2.09 a pound).

We really like those onion buns for our burgers and at the bread outlet they are half the cost of anywhere else. One time, they were running a special on them (2/$1.00!). They're close to $3.00 at WalMart (the last time I looked; might be higher now). The other day, all they had were the onion buns that normally go to Arby's (yum!) and she sold me a huge package (I think there were 24 buns) for $1.50! Unfortunately, I don't have a freezer yet and some will probably go to waste (to the chickens and ducks) before we can eat them all.

They will also sell a big garbage can of mixed products for animal feed for $7.00. I bought a half a can for $4.00 and was amazed at what I had! A wide variety of stuff (a lot I wouldn't normally buy) that would have maybe an end crushed or maybe the middle got crushed but still plenty of human-edible food. They tear the bags to discourage human consumption (you also have to sign a form stating you are buying it for animal feed...yeah, the two-legged variety!).

When I get a freezer, I'm going to buy the full-size can for $7.00 and sort through it and re-bag the stuff I want for us, freeze it, and give the rest to the birds.

I have a once-a-week "route" that includes the meat market, Goodwill, the bread store, Grocery Outlet (occasionally), WalMart (if I have to), Home Depot (occasionally). Luckily, it's all on a convenient circle and I have to be in the area twice a week, anyway, for therapy on my hand.

I just got back from the Sara Lee outlet store with 6 loves of honeywheat, 4 loves of cinnamon raisin bread, and 1 package of hamburger buns. That should last us for the month. I don't know what I would do if we didn't have these stores..........I know what my strengths are and making loaves of bread is not one of them. :toast: It's about 35 minutes away from me so I am only able to make it up there once it awhile and always combine it with other trips.

LOL< forgive me. I am laughing because in the OP, all I see is stuff about spam. Everyone else seems to be able to read it well. I have no idea where you shopped or anything. THe reply posts cme up fine (except the one that quoted the OP)

OMG I thought I was going nuts! I've been seeing the spam thing too, on various posts, not just one person. What IS that??

I was wondering when someone else was going to notice the spam too. I can't imagine what set the filter off on that posting.

I think bread outlets are great for larger families but for mine, I end up buying items that I would not normally buy and often a bit of the "snack" items as well. Cupcakes and the like. So I actually lose money if I stop at one! LOL

We have a Friehoffer's outlet up here. The bread is cheaper at Aldi AND the commissary. The only things I get there are specialty things that Aldi & the commissary don't carry, like 12 grain bread or whole wheat english muffins, or french toast bread/texas toast.

btw, I see all the extra "typing sp*m" stuff too

That's funny, because when I originally replied to this thread, the spam filter hadn't kicked in. Now I see the spam stuff, too. LOL! I wonder what was in that post that set it off? :)
