He is still working. He even got a $1/hr. raise. Still seems like we don't have ANY extra money though. I worry every week.

I worry every week. emily_hope 01-27-2008, 01:44 PM Glad he is still working and glad he got the raise. Still hoping things will work out! Hang in there! Glas you're back! emily_hope 01-27-2008, 01:45 PM Ya know, that was supposed to say GLAD not GLAS. LOL! I don't know why but there was no edit button. FrugalMomof3 01-27-2008, 01:47 PM I am glad your DH got a raise but I am sorry you feel there still isnt enough, keep your head up things will change for the better I am sure. :) Holly 01-27-2008, 02:08 PM Glad your DH still has a job and that he got a raise. Your smart and you will make it. Don't stress its not good for your health and that has to take first priority. We are here for you. Glad to see you posting again Drgnfly423 01-27-2008, 02:48 PM That's great news. You are very resourceful and I know things will get better for you! dianne9106 01-27-2008, 06:31 PM I know you said you ran a home daycare. Maybe for the next couple of weeks try paying all of the bills from that money. I was reading in a financial book about trying to live on one income before the whats'it hits the fan. I know the feeling - we got our cost of living raise and I can't tell it yet! But try to cut everything to the bone for a couple of weeks, not touching both income's and see how that works. That might prepare you if he does end up not having more work and that way you can save his entire income. It sounds awfully painful :ache:- but better to be prepared and not need it. Best Wishes to you - and hang in there. Dianne Marie78 01-27-2008, 08:31 PM It's good that your Dh is still working and got a raise, hang in there. I'm glad you are able to post again. baxjul 01-27-2008, 09:04 PM Thanks! Right now, I'm down 2 kids in the daycare. I have a couple of part/time kids, and the before/afterschool kids. Hi Heather!:grnwave: dolphin 02-01-2008, 12:00 AM Julie, I'm glad he gets to work and got the raise. You've lost income and that's why it seems that your off budget. My dh is once again laid off. I pray that the economy picks up soon so that our hubbys will find good work. Thinking of you and hopeing for the best for you all. Carolyn:hocus: Sorry if this is a double post, my computer died and when it came back on this was up so I'll try it again. Frugal Girl 02-01-2008, 12:09 AM When I got a $2.00 raise, I only got $50 more a paycheck because they tax the crap out of you. UGH! cottageliving 02-01-2008, 12:19 AM I am so happy to see he is working again and at a slightly higher rate. That will help you get caught up a little quicker. All the best to you! kaykwilts 02-01-2008, 12:21 AM Thank God he still has a job. Hopefully things will start looking up for ya'll so you won't have to crunch the pennies as much.
