It's just one of those days...i have cramps, but they are in my lower back, woke up to a MESSY house, walked in the kitchen, and trash was EVERYwhere on the floor, along with a HORRID stench of rotting milk..

I went to do a load of towels since we are ALL out of clean ones(we've been reusing one semi clean BABY towel!)..and the wash was full :(

i found a few outfits of AYla's had molded REAL bad that were in between some wet towels :(

Bad hair day :(

now i have the whole house to clean up..and try and sneak my laundry in when the neighbors get theirs out..ughh i feel so overwhelmed ..i know it sounds like nothing but man it feels like so much to me right now..if ayla was napping it wouldn't be so bad..but boy, trying to clean with her makes it 3 times as hard sometimes..

It also seems like i JUST had a clean house like yesterday! how does it get messy so fast :(

thanks for letting me vent :toothy:

Poor HeatherBob!

homestead mamma's rule: 15 minutes !!!
15 minutes of cleaning then 15 mintutes of time to yourself, whether it be here or just relaxing. This works. :)

Aww Heather! Bring Ayla over and I'll watch her while you clean :D (If only it were that simple eh?)

Sorry you're having a bad day!

Awe if I was there I'd come over and help.

Yes my rules are 15 minutes doing something and then 15 minute breaks doing something for you. A timer works really great and you don't need to purchase one. You probably have one on your stove you can use. Try it and see how things go.

Another tip: start with something small and work on that first. You'll be surprised at how much you can get done in 15 minutes. Make sure you take those breaks though because it tends to fill your tank up again so to speak. You don't get quite as discouraged.

Another tip: When taking those breaks, don't always come to the computer. Maybe just sit and relax, or get a cup of tea (always relaxes a person) and just enjoy the present.

Let us know how things are going. {{{{hugs}}}}

i know exactly how you feel. i get up and try to get some cleaning done only to have the kids mess up again after they get up.....laundry is never ending....the floor always needs sweeping....dishes pile up (i'm the only one who washes them:mad: )....and i still gotta make dinner. neverending isn't it?!?!:( :(

I'm the only one who washes the dishes too :(
I've tried everything i can to get dh to help me out..he just wont do it :(

well i did my first 15 min..and cleaned up the bathroom floor..then i got sidetracked (like always) and started curling my hair
i have a big problem with getting sidetraked :D
I did put ayla in her crib..and she's just kicking at the wall..but hey she needed the exercise right ;)
She doesn't sound upset about being in there at least..it's better than her crying that she can't come in the bathroom with me while i clean :)

we are all cheering you on. Let that child get all the exercise she can kicking, if it doesn't hurt her and you can stand it why not. we are pulling for you. (even if it is emotionally.)

i have done that a couple times.....i will put mason in his crib with a few toys, if there is something i need to get done and he just won't stay out from under my feet!;) i know he's ok in there....and it keeps him out of trouble.;) then when i get finished or he has had enough, then i let him out. :D also when she is in the crib, turn on some silly kid's music. she will like it!:toothy:

Cheering you on here as well. Look, you got 15 minutes of work done and your hair curled. Nothing wrong with that.

On to the next 15 minutes.

We know you can do it.

woohoo now i have scrubbed the toilet and the sink :D
and also washed the mirror, and the all the other mirrors in the house :)

i have held ayla for about 5 minutes, got her an apple to eat (even though it was really for me lol..i guess momma's snack always looks better to her than what she has! lol)

Hmm should i make a 15 min cleaning, 15 min me time and 15 min ayla time?

You go girl !!!!
I laid down for a nap on Monday & my family tore the house apart !!!!
I was not happy..... But what good does it do to get mad.... Mine are bigger and I tell them to get busy cleaning up their own messes...... Ayla will be big enough to help in a couple years til then..... HANG IN THERE....
HSMama's 15 min thing does work !!!

My greatgrandmothers rule-one of the many many rules she drilled into me, really works--Never leave a room until it is finished. The dirty towels can sit on the floor at the enterance to the bathroom while you clean the sink etc., this way you don't get sidetracked going to the hamper. For people like me with a very short attention span it actually allows me to finish a job and have a sense of accomplishment, otherwise I would wander the house doing a little of this a little of that and no room would ever get completely clean.

girls thanks so much for your motivation!! :)

The day is already over (well dh came home that is)
and the house is almost looking spotless again :D
ok aside from the kitchen floors and sink :D but the kitchen has ROOM to walk in without stepping on trash now ;)

And Carl was very impressed with what I'd done too :)

I need to keep doing this every day! :)
