Does anyone remember the Dutch ovens from the past or do you have one now. On my wish list is one because I use to cook in one and the food was absolutely scrumptious. Here is a website that has oodles of recipes specific to Dutch ovens.

I remember when we were first married and I use to make stew in a cast iron Dutch oven and let it simmer on a cook stove we had in a rented house. The house smelt wonderful and the stew tasted pretty good considering I was only newly wed and didn't much know how to cook. But I remembered by grandmother using one and so I purchased one. I wish I could remember what I did with it.

Enjoy!!

I have several cast iron pieces and I do appreciate the site link you gave. Seems I was not pretreating my skillets well before storing them. No wonder I see rust sometimes!

Thanks for the link!:)
