Okay I've looked at the wallpaper and here are some choices.

#1 - http://www.cumberlandwoodcraft.com/store/merchant.ihtml?pid=1390&step=4

#2 - http://www.cumberlandwoodcraft.com/store/merchant.ihtml?pid=667&step=4

#3 - http://www.cumberlandwoodcraft.com/store/merchant.ihtml?pid=1254&lastcatid=179&step=4

#4 - http://www.cumberlandwoodcraft.com/store/merchant.ihtml?pid=600&step=4

#5 - http://www.cumberlandwoodcraft.com/store/merchant.ihtml?pid=607&step=4 (this one comes in white background)

I'm pretty sure I know which one I want, but would like to see what you all think. Remember, my 3 walls are historical burgundy and my accessories will be white.

I like #'s 2 and 5 the best and then #3.........

But I noticed a double roll on a couple fo them are close to $60 per double roll...if you pick on of those I would go with the original pick since it is close in price...

what is your favorite homestead mamma??

#4 hands down!
I love #4... its light so it will lighten up the room a little... it will go well with your white accents.
Some of the others are pretty but too dark when you already have 3 dark walls. I think a lighter wall would be pretty.

#5 is very pretty... but #4 is more victorian imo.

#4 :)

So hard to vote, I think the last one is nice, the one with the dragonflies is victorian, all nice......
Here is another idea.....
Add texture to the walls...... Victorian wallpaper did not always go all of the way to the ceiling and some times it went right up the ceiling and on the ceilings themselves..... If you leave a space at the top of the wall. buy a few yards of wide very flat lace, dip it the wallpaper paste and apply to the wall like a border, when it's dry paint it the same as the wall color. This will give you some texture...... Buy a can of clear drying wallpaper paste..... What you have left over works great for Modge Podge....... Where the top of the wallpaper starts a few inches or even a foot down the wall, use a thin flat molding to trim the top of the wallpaper, paint it in the wall color, this will finish the edge, you'll need a molding on the paper even if it goes to the ceiling...
Another tip.....
If you are buying on line, it is hard to match colors well..... I usuallt buy wallpaper first and them paint.... Buy a paper that has colors that go well but are not expected to match perfectly.. That way when you get it you won't be disapointed that you have a mismatch....... Hope this helps..... It sound like it is going to be beautiful no matter what you choose to do........ Restoring an old house is so much fun !!!!

number 4 was my other favorite...but I don't think I liked the spacing of the stripes too much.. but the others I did not like :D

Okay you ladies, thanks for voting. I'm going to leave this for a couple of days and see who else might pick what.

btw - I won't be purchasing this one line - I don't own a cc. What I plan on doing is finding similar wall paper here and hopefully at 50% off. I'm waiting for one wallpaper place to do that.

The other wallpaper place doesn't do that or I'd get my first choice from before. UGH.

You lades are the BEST!!

Number #1 and #3 are tied for me. I would have to see the whole room to make a final decision.

I don't like the [apers with the light backgraound as much as those with more color. A little too dull for me.

Good Luck...I am sure you will make the right decision!!

I like the feel of #3 best. It carries the wrap around warmth with it. I think in some ways keeping all walls burgundy will set off the white curtains, bedding more than if you put lighter colours on the walls.

UNLESS you really need a breathing space. But I think if you are going to go bold, go all the way. Dont' stop with half measures. Get wild and crazy. Try it out by painting that wall burgundy too. You can tell if it will drive you nuts BEFORE investing in wall paper.

#2 had an oriental look which although it's nice, it would clash with a classic Victorian (although they did like some oriental china and rugs back then) so I vote no for #2.

#1, is my second pick, but with the stripes it might be too busy. I think it's a good second choice and I'd almost pick that for #1 on the bottom half of a wall, or the top half with a floral that is made to coordinate, similar to #3. Border like chair rail in between.

#4 and 5 are nice but they are only if you need breathing room from all the burgundy and of the two, I think I like #5 better.

I always found good deals on enough for one or two walls in the clearance bins at the wallpaper stores. I usually pick stuff up for 5 to 10$ a double roll. They make great shelf and drawer liners if they are the quality solid vinyls which is what I look for.

OH and one more tip. If you use a burgundy wall paper you may want to paint that wall burgundy anyway. Often wp will shrink a tiny bit as it dries, and on darker colours it shows as a faint white line.

Voice of experiance with a lovely navy with white dots, 3 houses back. Then a cream Sunworthy with little colour bits. Shrunk! The cream was ok. No more sunworthy for this gal.

All the other brands over the years, and I"ve done LOTS of wp, work fine. I prefer a solid vinyl for wear and scrubbing. NOT vinyl coated paper.

I like #1 and #3. It depends on what the room looks like. If it was me I'd go with #1 if I planned on using more roses in the room, #3 if the color matched the other walls. I like Lori's idea of adding a lace border at the top. It would be cool with the really long drapes, depending on which wall the windows are on.

Well ladies you've only made it harder. :D

My pick is - I haven't decided. No. 2-3-4 are out for sure.

So its now between No. 1 and No. 5 with me leaning towards No.5. No. 1 was my first pick though of all of them, so I may end up with something similar to that.

I will let you know. I'm watching closely for the 50% off sale and it shouldn't be long. They had one in the spring and always have one in the fall.

Heather, funny you should bring this up, because I never picked out any of these. I found a wonderful pattern at a wallpaper store, but didn't purchase it as of yet, because we are going to be insulating our bedroom this spring.

I'm now really glad I didn't because the cost of the wallpaper was quite expensive and it would have had to be taken off.
