As a homesteader or dreaming of homesteading, what is your kitchen like? Describe it for us.
Mine has a creamer in the corner, a butter churn in another corner, an old wash basin yet on another wall. NOT!!
I have a pantry in one corner that is usally full but we've been living off it for a few months now and it is drastically low. I have my washing machine in my kitchen, I don't own a dryer.
I also have a 6 qt. KA on my kitchen cupboard along with my Whisper Mill. In the very corner of my kitchen cupboard is a ceramic mother hen with 3 little chicks, a gift from a friend when we moved here.
I have some electric appliances but not many. I have an old rolling pin, an old jar lifter, a potato ricer (antique) along with an electric frying pan and an electric grill.
BUT I'm slowly decreasing my electric appliances and going for hand ones instead. My grain mill and KA will continue to be electric because of health, but other small electric appliances are not being replaced when they quit.
I'm looking for a butter churn (glass one), a cast iron skillet along with a cast iron frying pan. Once I have those, my electric frying pan will be donated to goodwill, along with my skillet.
So tell us about your homesteading kitchen!! Your dreams of one.
