My husband is an owner/operator who has had a steady contractor. However, the contractor just said my husband's services are no longer needed. We don't have very much saved up and we have so many expenses. Hopefully, my husband will find more work soon.

I'll be saying a prayer for you and yours. He will find work soon I am sure.

I'm sorry to hear that,.......please know that you are in "good company" as many of us have had spouse (or ourselves) laid of in the last year or so. Mine was "if you quit we won't fire you" (fired) last June, and we are SOOO much better off now!!

Hope he finds something else REALLY soon!

I hope he finds something. I am in Northern Ca too and hubby and I both work in construction fields. The housing market has laid a wammy to this area. We had to let a few guys go (mostly for discipinary reasons) but our company has been very lucky. We have quite a few large jobs coming up, and I know alot of people in our industry are struggling for work. Hoping that he is able to find something soon.

My hubby was laid off for 6 months so I know what you are going threw. Be strong and hang in there it will work out I am sure of it.

Im sorry to hear this. But I think I can safely say that most of us have discovered that in the end it was for the better.
