My new avatar is a picture of CBG and I at our 'reception'.
We got married on February 17th. We were all out to dinner to celebrate a friends arrival in town on leave from the military. While we were out, I discovered 2 of CBG's friends were ordained. Well, in my head it seemed like a good idea to get married right then.
We ran home to get our marriage license, I made a boquet outta the roses he got me for Valentine's Day, we grabbed some champagne outta the wine rack and met everyone at a friend's house. While we were out, they had downloaded the wedding march off of itunes for us to walk down the aisle to and someone went out and bought hostess cupcakes for us.
We made up our own vows on the spot...it was sweet and funny and perfect. It was 100% free other than the cost of our marriage license. The girls that were present came up with something blue, borrowed, old and new for me. It was really great.
CBG & I were both married before and we knew we weren't gonna have a big wedding anyway so our families weren't too shocked or upset that they missed the 'big event'. :lol3:
Anyway, it's been over a month and I'm still glowing. :cloud9:
By the way, CBG stands for Comic Book Guy. My husband owns a comic book store and when I first started talking to him via eharmony, i refered to him that way to my friends via email and it stuck.
