My father in law called yesterday morning and asked if I would like some apples, he was going picking and thought of me! I said sure- bring me a bushel of Cortlands and thank you very much! I'm stopping there on my way home from work today to pick them up. I'll be busy this weekend making applesauce. I'm also going to slice some and freeze for future pies and crisps. Nothing says fall to me like fresh apples!

We have a apple tree but they're called June apples.or thats what we call them because they only here in June.By July most are gone.They don't get very big and are sour.

I told dh I vote we get a new apple tree next year....one we would actually eat the apples from :)
