Anyone ever own an Amigo?
We are looking for a "new" used car. DH found this one, I think it is an Isuzu Amigo. It is a small SUV, and I'm just wondering if anyone has ever driven one? I'm curious about gas mileage, how it runs, etc.
It is a smokin' awesome deal. The guy is selling it for $300. It needs a new hub on one of the front wheels and something else minor. So it isn't driveable, so we can't test drive it.
The guy priced it out to have it fixed and it was over $3000, so he said forget it and bought a new car and now just wants this one removed from his driveway.
Well, DH has already replaced both front hubs in his truck. So he has the know how and tools to do it himself and can get the parts to fix it for under $200. So for under $500, we will have a relatively new car for me to drive.
Just not sure about it, becuase we've never owned an Isuzu and I was looking for a smaller car (although, I do love SUV's). If anyone has any experience with them, I'd love to hear them. Although, I imagine DH is going to go pick it up today. I don't think he can pass up a car valued at $4100, for only $300!

Wow, what an awesome deal! We don't have any experience with Isuzu's but it sure sounds like you have a winner there. If you know the year, make and model you can look it up on the Kelly Blue Book website, find out the value and read the reviews which is always really helpful to me.
We're buying a new to us car too but the people who are selling it to us are moving out of state and want to wait for a month because they are using it until then. Its a good little car and I want it now!
“When you get to the end of all the light you know
and it's time to step into the darkness of the unknown,
faith is knowing that one of two things will happen:
you will be given something solid to stand on,
or you will be taught how to fly.” - Edward Teller
“Our Earth is degenerate in these later days;
there are signs that the world is speedily
coming to an end;
bribery and corruption are common; children no
longer obey their parents;
every man wants to write a book and the
end of the world is evidently approaching.”
— From a translation of an inscription on
an Assyrian clay tablet, circa 2800 B.C.E.
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and the wisdom to know the difference.
