New paint
We have a 1996 Dodge 4x4 that we bought used 2 years ago. We paid it off last May, yippee. The paint is starting to peel in places. DBF had the hood and front fenders done last year for $1000. Turns out one of his bosses at work could have done it for 1/2! Well DBF called earlier and said his boss will do the roof and the rest of the truck for $648.00. Next month is a 3 payday month for both of us and we are going to use one of our extra checks to have him do the job. That is a load off our minds since the truck is in excellent shape, gets great gas mileage for a 4x4, and yes we need a 4x4 in the winter. We live in the foothills of eastern Ohio.

That's great, Sassyclass!
Just make sure all the paint matches. Look at it from all angles in the sunlight and shade.

No worries there. DBF works for a NAPA distribution center and can get the paint cheap through them. I was wrong in what is getting done though. He is going to just touch up the roof for now, sand down and feather in. But the main thing he is doing is the rocker panels. The passenger side started to get a nice hole in it last week. Still cheap IMO.
