I thought I would create just one thread, maybe turn this into a sticky, for all the recall notices and/or safety notice related to the automotive industry. This thread would be keep track of all these recalls and safety notices in one place.

If you have specific questions regarding your vehicle, please contact your local dealership or contact the corporate office for your specific vehicle.

I will be updated this thread as often as needed, but please feel free to add them if I miss any.

"A recall has been issued in both the U.S. and Canada regarding the 2010 Acura ZDX crossover. The recall involves the potential lack of proper laser scoring on the underside of the dashboard, which can in turn limit airbag deployment in the event of an accident.

Acura has announced that it will be recalling 1,850 ZDX models in the U.S., and another 605 vehicles in Canada regarding the lack of laser scoring on the underside of the dashboard.

Acura says that no incidents have been reported involving improperly deployed airbags as a result of this problem, but the automaker will be recalling 2,455 vehicles in order to inspect the dash and determine if the proper laser scoring has been applied. The fault was first discovered during a manufacturing quality check, not as a result of an airbag’s failure to deploy during an accident.

Acura says it will inspect the dashboards to determine if the scoring is according to specifications, and if it is not, it will replace the dashboard on the vehicle.

The recall will officially begin in late April."

This is not a recall yet, but a warning about this specific vehicle.

"NEW YORK (CNNMoney.com) -- Toyota asked dealers to temporarily suspend sales of the new 2010 Lexus GX 460 after Consumer Reports issued a safety warning on the SUV.

"We are taking the situation with the GX 460 very seriously and are determined to identify and correct the issue Consumer Reports identified," said Mark Templin, Lexus Group vice president and general manager, in a prepared statement.

Earlier on Tuesday the magazine said there was an increased risk of rollover during a turn, a problem it uncovered during routine tests. It urged car shoppers not to buy the GX 460 until the problem is remedied."

"Toyota said Friday it will recall about 600,000 Sienna minivans to address potential corrosion on spare tire cables.

The recall includes certain 1998 to 2010 model years sold in the United States and operated in cold climate areas, the automaker said in a statement."

***Update to the warning issued about the Lexus GX460***

"Toyota Motor Corp. has announced a recall of 2010 model year Lexus GX 460 SUVs. The recall is related to an increased risk of rollover.

The recall covers about 9,400 SUVs, most of them in the United States."

"Toyota Motor Sales has announced plans to recall about 50,000 Toyota Sequoia SUVs because of a problem with their Vehicle Stability Control systems that can cause the vehicles to hesitate or slow down at low speeds.

The SUVs involved were all manufactured early in the 2003 model year. As part of the planned recall, Toyota (TM) will upgrade the VSC software."

"Honda Motor Co. is recalling 167,000 cars from its luxury Acura division because of the risk of a fire in the engine compartment.

The automaker is recalling Acura TSX sedans with 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engines from the 2004 to 2008 model years because hoses that carry power steering fluid could become brittle and begin to crack. Power steering fluid could then leak out and come into contact with hot exhaust parts causing smoke and possibly a fire."

"General Motors is recalling about 40,000 Chevrolet Corvette sports cars because of a problem in which repeatedly adjusting the position of the steering column can cause the cars' electronic stability control activate when it shouldn't.

In some model year 2005 and 2006 Corvettes equipped with a tilting and telescoping steering wheel, repeated adjustment of the steering column position can cause the electrical connection to an electronic steering sensor to become loose."

"General Motors is recalling 162,000 Hummer H3s in the U.S. because a faux air vent attached to the hood could become detached, creating a potential hazard.

An additional 36,000 are being recalled overseas to fix the problem, which was first reported to GM by the Japan Ministry of Land Infrastructure in January."

"Federal car safety regulators are warning owners of 2010 Ford Fusion and Mercury Milan sedans of possible dangers from floor mats.

Owners were told gas pedals could become stuck if all-weather floor mats are stacked on top of the cars' standard mats."
