Does anyone have a Kia Sorento????
Does anyone own the Sorento? We have been looking at autos for a few months and just haven't found exactly what we want. Thought I had built it got sold right out from under us!
We are looking for something that can tow preferably with a 3rd row seat. I had a client raving about her Sorento and said she has the bigger engine so it can tow the normal 3500 lbs. I looked online and the gas milege was not bad on the bigger engine.
Dh as a Kia that we have owned 8 years and over 100K miles problem free so I do love that.
I'm just curious if anyone has any experience with owning one.

Just a heads up--I moved this thread to the automotive forum.
I don't have a Sorento but the past two cars I have driven have been Kias. I absolutely love my car, the warranty, etc. However, I have had a couple of bad experiences with the roadside assistance. Since I do a lot of travelling with two young kids by myself in very rural areas, I need to have reliable roadside assistance. So--next time I buy a car, it won't be a Kia.McD

Thanks for your replies. Thanks for moving it Mrs McD!
We never used the RS assistance on dh's. Never needed to but we have AAA for ins so would just use that as usual I think.~July 19 saving goal for event $80/$1000

I've heard good things about the Sorrento...I just hope you don't get one that turns out to be a lemon. Every car seems to have a batch that turns out to be lemons.
As for McD's poor roadside assistance instance...I don't consider that option as a selling feature b/c I do have CAA/AAA however I choose not to look at that option as a huge factor in my purchase b/c it doesn't affect how the car actually runs. I mean if my car's a lemon and it constantly breaks down thats still fault with the car, not the road side assistance.
But thats just my two cents. Happy car hunting

My husband used to sell KIA and he thought they were a great vehicle for the price. I had a sorento for 4 yrs and loved it. Never had a problem, decent gas mileage etc....
Will definately buy another when the time comes."We fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen; For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

Thanks Libby and Startingover. Livvy the RSA is not a factor to me either since we use AAA. I've seen a few good deals on 2008-2010's. Not next weekend but the weekend after we should get a chance to go look and test drive.

I have never bought or owned one before, but a co-worker just bought a brand new one and he loves it. He and his wife liked it better than the Honda CR-V.
