    Default Crochet Baby Blanket for Friend's Shower

    I want to crochet a baby blanket for a friend's shower and want it to be very pretty and soft and delicate.

    Any suggestions (including a source of pretty and cheap patterns and pretty and cheap yarn) you all could offer me would be greatly appreciated.

    Of course my favorite, go-to blanket pattern, isn't found online. It's a diagonal box stitch, made in Jamie yarn.

    Yarns - Our Walmart still sells some baby yarns, inexpensively. Otherwise, I get it at either Hobby Lobby, JoAnn's or Michaels's with coupons.
