    Default Amish Friendship Bread

I once received a ziploc bag with batter in it. You keep the batter for 7 days, letting the air out of the bag daily, and then bake it. Somehow, there's some left, which you pass on to a friend. It was called Amish Friendship Bread (I think). It was very sweet and tasty!

I'd like to get it started, but don't know how. And I'm not sure how it worked. My memory is getting so bad!

    Thanks!

According to the note that came with mine, only the Amish know. It is very tasty though!

http://www.armchair.com/recipe/bake002.html is my favorite site. It has the basics then 3-4 pages of variations on the recipe that can provide you with some of the most delicious pancakes, muffins, breads, and even cookies.

I kept a starter going for quite a while a few years back. Its fun, I named him and he lived on my counter nice and contently.

    Have fun.
