Does anyone have a honey bun recipe??
I have a great cinnamon roll and stickybun recipes but I was sitting here reading blogs and I saw of all things a little toddler girl sitting on her pink princess potty eating a honey bun and I instantly wanted a recipe!
Anyone have one or can you direct me to one?
Thanks! The math never lies, budget in INK!

I know there's a recipe floating around out there in the internet world for honey bun cake that is made in a 9x13 pan that is supposed to taste like the real thing, but I'd love to have one for individual size portions. Maybe it could be made in muffin pans? Anyone have any ideas or have tried it?

I don't have one, but I'd be intersted in seeing one too! I, like you, have a cinnamon roll and a sticky bun recipe...but I've never come across a honey bun recipe!
Here is a recipe that I found on allrecipes, but it seems more like a sticky bun recipe with honey in it.
http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Honey-N...ns/Detail.aspx
It's a 4.5 star recipe though, and I've never had bad luck with anything I've tried there that has four or more stars, so I am sure it is delicious!

Here are the recipes... I added the Crescent rolls too since they use the hot roll mix
Hot Roll Mix
5 lbs. all purpose flour
1 and 1/4 cups flour
4 tsps. salt
1 cup instant nonfat dry milk
Combine all ingredients in a large bowl. Stir to distribute evenly. Put in
a large airtight container. Label. Store in a cool, dry place. Use within
6-8 months. Makes about 22 cups hot Roll Mix

From Make a Mix Cookery
Cream Cheese Swirls

1 and 1/2 cups lukewarm water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted margarine
5 to 6 cups Hot Roll Mix
Sugar-Cinnamon Sprinkle

Sugar-Cinnamon Sprinkle
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
1/2 cup brown sugar,firmly packed
1 and 1/2 tsps. cinnamon
Cream Cheese Filling
1 8oz. pkg. cream cheese,softened
6 Tbsps. sugar

1/4 tsp. vanilla
About 2 Tbsps. milk
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Blend in eggs and oil or

in bulk, about 1 hour. Generously grease 2 baking sheets. Prepare Sugar-
Cinnamon and Cream Cheese Filling. Punch down dough. Let stand 10 minutes.
On a lightly floured surface, roll out dough to a 12 by 24 inch rectangle,
about 1/4 inch thick. Spread generously with Sugar-Cinnamon Sprinkle. Roll
dough like a jelly roll. Cut into 1 inch slices. Place on prepared baking
sheets. Cover with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in
bulk, about 30 to 60 minutes. Preheat oven to 375*F(190*C). With a tablespoon
press a deep indentation in the center of each bun. Fill the indentation with
3 Tablespoons Cream Cheese Filling. Bake 20 to 25 minutes, until golden
brown. Prepare Sweet Glaze. Drizzle glaze over warm buns. Makes about 24
rolls.
Sugar-Cinnamon Sprinkle:

Rec. Crescent Rolls
1 Tbsp. active dry yeast
1 and 1/2 cups lukewarm water
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 cup vegetable oil or melted margarine
5 to 6 cups Hot Roll Mix
2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, softened
In a large bowl, dissolve yeast in lukewarm water. Blend in eggs and oil or
margarine. Add 5 cups Hot Roll Mix. Blend well. Add additional Hot Roll Mix
to make a soft, but not too sticky dough. Knead about 5 minutes until dough
is smooth. Lightly butter bowl. Put dough in bowl and turn to butter top.
Cover dough with a damp towel and let rise in a warm place until doubled in
bulk, about 1 hour. Generously grease baking sheets. Punch down dough. Divide
in half. Let stand 10 minutes. On a lightly floured surface, roll out each
half to a 12 inch circle. Brush each circle with 1 Tbsp. soft butter or
margarine. Cut each circle into 16 pie shaped wedges. Roll up each wedge
from the wide end. Place point side down in a crescent shape on prepared
baking sheets. Cover and let rise again until doubled in bulk, about 45 to 60
minutes. Preheat oven to 400*F (205*C). Bake 15 to minutes, until golden

I wonder if you could make these and mix some honey with the cinnamon sugar......and not use the cream cheese filling
I found this recipe via google. Sounds really good. I may have to try it.
(I have not made this yet so can't vouch for it)
