    Question Rolled Dumplings?

~I love Chicken & Dumplings and have perfected my recipe and technique over the last year. They're so good(and frugal!) it got me thinking about other ways they could be used.
Has anyone ever tried rolled dumplings in other broths/soups like beef, pork or seafood?
How about in something sweet? I think they could work in an apple cider and spiced apple broth for a dessert!
Since the dumplings are like pie dough I think any pie that is eaten warm could be made into a dumpling dish.
    Any ideas?~

I have added cinnamon and sugar to the dough, cooked, then served them with baked apples. The family seemed to like them.

I've made ham stew with rolled dumplings. Really easy, just ham broth, ham pieces, potatoes and dumplings.

I've not made rolled dumplings, but have made drop dumplings with beef stew, with chicken soup. Oh, and with a milky-brothy veggie soup, my mother used to make that and so do I. And a cobbler is basically a dumpling on top of filling dish.
