My morning bread
I was up early this morning so I made sandwich thins, honey whole wheat bread and a loaf of Italian to go with the homemade cavatellis I'm making for dinner. Big time oven spring on the Italian...sometimes that happens.

Those are beautiful! I would bet that 50% of the cookbooks I own are bread baking books.
I've always wanted a backyard brick oven, too.

Sometimes you just have to go with "it". Glad you got your groove on and shared those pics.
Do you have a recipe you can share for the sandwich thins? tia~*Darlene*~

Thank you for the compliment. No, I'm not a chef by training, but I do enjoy cooking and baking, and always put my all into whatever I do. Me and DW are empty nesters and I have small business which gives me a lot of time to cook, so DW usually has dinner made for her when she gets home from her job. She did most of the cooking while our family was growing, so now I get to pamper her for all her good work. Unlike teh kids, I never hear "Is that all we have to eat?" I'm sure most moms here have heard that too many times.
The best lesson I've learned about cooking is that we first eat with our eyes, so I try to make everything appealing to the eye. I'm on a couple of other food sites where almost every meal is posted with a picture, and I've learned a lot about presentation from others.

This is a fun thread. Thanks for sharing your pictures with us. I am a bread-baking newbie, just getting into sourdough. I am enjoying the process and the learning so much!
