I need help with my bread machine. Anyone have the Black & Decker bread machine?

We can't find our recipe book that goes with it....We don't remember if we use 3 cups of flour or 4 cups of flour....

Does anyone know? My machine is model B1650 and it makes 1 1/2 or 2 lbs loaves. We want the 2 lbs recipe.

Last bread we made, we put 4 cups of flour and I think it was too much...

I would love a quick answer, as Pierre is waiting to make a bread.

I'm just guessing, Lucie, but for a 2 pound loaf I would use 4 cups of flour. I used 3 cups yesterday for my 1 1/2 lb loaf machine. I hope that helps!

Thanks Danielle! We tried searching on the black & decker site and we don't even see bread machines!... We will try maybe 3 1/2 cups, since we found our bread very compact and we had used 4 cups...I hope it works. I'll tell you how it turns out!

Lucie, I have the exact same model of breadmaker. The recipes for basic white and 100% whole wheat recipes for 2 lb. loaves are as follows.

Basic White

1 1/2 cups water
2 tbsp powdered milk
2 tbsp shortening
1 tbsp sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
4 cups white flour
1 1/4 tsp. yeast


100% Whole Wheat

1 1/2 cups water
2 tbsp. powdered milk
2 tbsp. shortening
2 tbsp honey
2 tbsp molasses
1 1/2 salt
3 1/2 whole wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp. yeast
