Do you eat the bread crust (end piece)?

I sometimes will turn the heels inward to make a sandwich or grilled cheese sandwich. I usually save the heels in the freezer though and make bread crumbs from them.

Personally, I love the crust. Yep thats the best part.

I only like the end pieces when it's homemade bread. I don't care for the crusts of commercially made bread. I only eat them if I'm desperate and have no other bread to eat.

I cut or break them up and dry them for stuffing.

I like the heels, I use them as hotdog buns when we don't have any buns.

I will eat the heels of fresh bread. Packaged bread, however, no way -- heels go into the trash or into my boyfriend's tummy, I suppose b/c he's not picky. I think he's turned the heels over and made me grilled cheese out of them when we were low on bread once and that was okay.
