Depends.....when I eat freanch bread or italian bread (when I eat spaghetti) I eat the end and the crust. If its a sandwich I'll eat the crust most of the time but if I am just eating bread then I give the ends and the crust to the animals.

We don't eat the crust or the piece next to it either.

Our big dog thinks bread is a treat and he gets them. He jumps up and down whenever he sees a bread bag - it is too funny.

Depends. If I'm eating it with soup or stew or beans I'll eat the end pieces. If I am making a sandwich, have no other bread and have to use one to have two pieces, yes. If I have no other bread, yes. But otherwise I usually indulge in a little non-frugal wastefulness and don't eat it, because I don't really like it. I never need bread crumbs for anything I cook, so that's not an option. I will toss it to the birds occasionally, but I can't really imagine that the apartment managers like have bread thrown about, so, sadly, the birds have a make a living some other way.

Yes, I do. On fresh baked bread, it is my FAVORITE part. I usually claim both "ends".

Ick. Never. Sometimes I make bread crumbs out of it, but more often than not it goes in the trash.

DH is the only one in the house that likes to eat it. He enjoys the crust.

I do with bakery bread, but not with loaf bread...except cinnamon/raisin bread. It's too expensive not to eat every slice! I feed the end pieces to the birds. They love bread, and it keeps the food bills down. really, though, I eat very little bread. Never have been a big bread person.

I love to toast the end piece and slather on the chunky peanutbutter. My favorite breakfast with a cold glass of milk.
