Banana Stickers and a recipe request
What do you do with your banana stickers? Do you do anything creative besides putting them on your forehead and walking around your house waiting for family members to comment on them and acting like you don't know what they are talking about? Sticker? What sticker?
I've been doing that since I was a kid & old habits die hard. Neat new sticker on this latest bunch of nanners gives you a space to design your own sticker. Mwahaha!
I've got some bananas that need using and I'm looking for a recipe that isn't super sweet to use them in, any TNT recipe you have to share would be most welcome.~*Darlene*~

I used to use them as a bribe to be good in the store when my boys were little. They loved stickers and I always would pick a banana with one on at the start of the shopping trip. If they could be good while shopping it became theirs at check out. They wore it as a badge of pride walking out of the store.

Darlene,,,I've collected banana stickers since the ''80's. I've got them in a scrapbook. We're so totally "cool"!

~Yeah, they definitely go on your nose or, if you have two, as earrings.
Haven't seen banana stickers in awhile since we've been buying from Aldi.~

I save all my fruit stickers -- I stick the really good ones on my noses, of course, then stick them on the spice rack over the sink until it's full. Then I pull them off and add them to my journal pages and to cards I like to make and send to my (I hope) appreciative buddies.
Sometimes I paint over them & get strange yet interesting results that I hope seem artistic.

Silly people.

Here is a recipe that I posted on another thread and have made it several times. It's very good.
Banana Bread (Andrew Weil, MD)
3 very ripe bananas
1/2 cup honey
3 tablespoons canola oil, plus a little more for oiling the loaf pan
1 tsp. pure vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups whole-wheat pastry flour
1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. salt
3/4 cups walnuts or pecans
Heat oven 350. Lightly oil loaf pan.
Mash bananas and mix with honey, canola oil and vanilla extract.
Stir together the whole wheat pastry flour, baking soda and salt. Add nuts. (I'm sure you could leave the nuts out if you wanted too)
Blend the two mixtures and spoon into a lightly oiled loaf pan. Bake for 40 minutes, or until center is set.

Thanks to all of you who "get the fun" of banana stickers. May you always be young at heart.

Once again finding joy in those little things makes your day that much better. Go you!
