  1. A Talk With DH...

    ...about minimalism. It went surprisingly well. He was very open to the concept. I showed him some of the blogs and material I had been reading. He didn't have a lot to say about it, which is normal for him. But, he did say that he liked the idea.

    Here are some steps to work on:
    *Live simply without too many unnecessary possessions, distractions, clutter or waste
    *Eating better, eating less, eating at home more, eating out less
    *Self Improvement, losing weight, ...

  3. Having a mini-stress out...

    I'm so excited to be able to adopt. It will give me the chance to have the child my husband and I always wanted. So, the fees will be up to $25,000. Then I think when the baby is here, they will need "stuff". With my minimalist approach, I don't need a ton of "stuff". But, I have nothing right now for a baby. So, how am I going to have enough money for the fees, for the furniture, clothes, diapers, etc, for everything! I just thought back to the match we turned down where ...

    One thing I read about minimalism is that it's not just about stuff. It's about leading a simpler, more fulfilling life. So, in line with all that is yoga. It strengthens your body, clears your mind and reduces stress. And just so happens the gym down the street from where I work offers it Mon-Thurs from 12:15-1pm over the lunch hour. I went today just to test it out and I loved it. It was very empowering to see how strong I was and how much improvement I need. It did help to take me away ...

  5. early retirement for the DH

    Well, It is finally about time. The DH received an offer for early retirement. We have an appointment with a counselor to evaluate the offer. I am pretty sure he will take it so he may be retiring on July 15th. I am really excited for him. It also helps that he will get a bit of pay to leave. I just wish I could retire. I am listing a 5 acre property for 248K. If it sells I could probably quit. I also am looking at leasing to a solar company. My friend did not want to tie up the 40 acres I am purchasing ...
