    This is my second week in a row to score a couple of good deals at the stores. I collect coupons and then get cheaper during my lunch on Monday.

    Today, I went to Dillon's and purchased a box of Fiber One Bars. They were on sale for $2.79 and I had a $0.40 off double coupon. So, my total after tax was $2.16. Not bad...

    Next, I went to Walgreen's and got 2 deodorants, they were on sale 2/$5.00 plus get a $3.00 Register Reward. So, I paid $5.00 plus tax and got $3.00 ...

  2. Budgeting

    I am looking over the budget that me and my df made for when we get married and join checking accounts. So far, it is in balance with $1.38 leftover each month. We do have some expenses that aren't included and I'm not sure what to change as the expenses aren't reoccuring expenses. One is school books and the other is school tuition. Df is attending college and his employer will pay for up to $7,000 in tuition per year. All he pays for is extra costs and books. So far, books have been pretty ...

  3. Cleaning & Organizing Around the House

    Lately, around my house I noticed that things keep coming in and then don't have a home. With the 4 kids, we have a lot more stuff! I have set up a shelving unit that we store their toys on. So, we took everything off the shelves and organized them into category, putting like items in clear tubs together. We were able to fit all of their things on the shelves and it look great. I can't wait until they come back over to make use of it!

  4. Our 5-Year Plan

    My fiance and I have been talking about how we want to handle finances after we get married and for the next 5-years.

    So, here's what we've come up with. We are going to have a joint checking account and a joint savings account. Both paychecks will go into the checking and a portion into savings. Then all joint bills will be paid out of checking. Each paycheck (twice per month) we will have $50 each go into a separate checking that will serve as our spending money. With this ...
