I am a HUUUUGE advocate of sahm's, but when we moved here, dh took a huge paycut... we make due, but have no extra, no savings, no cushion, and when we have fun...we have to play catch up afterwards...

So i decided after 8 yrs at home to apply to walmart as a cashier, they interviewed and hired me on the spot, with over 10 yrs management experience they were thrilled to have me. This money is to help catch up, and then save up for our own house...as we decided to rent when we moved here since the prices were soooo high.

We used the profits of the last house to pay off vehicles and to have too much fun....wish more of that would have been saved...

I work only when my husband is home to be with the kids, or when the kids are in school during the day....


MY FEARS: That we will overspend, due to the extra money, the goal was for 100% of my checks to pay off debts or get saved...i'd be able to swallow 85%......So i'm giving it the summer to see if we make headway....maybe till october...since the kids will be in school and i'll have my regular hours back...(plus i'm due for a raise in sept)


MY HOPES: that i will creates new relationships and friendships.....i have no friends to speak of and no social circle outside of my immediate family............that i will make serious headway financially......that it will allow me to cut out my anti depresants entirely, i am already off one, and cut the other by 33%

I am 31, married to my highschool sweetheart, and have 2 kids, a daughter 7 yrs old, with aspergers syndrome (autism spectrum) and a 5 yr old son...who may or may not be aspergers.....yet to be determined...


let's not forget the 3 cats and the dog....
