Stocking Up

Today I went grocery shopping with my elederly father and my DS26...it is like shopping with a comedy team, but all the jokes are on me...lucky I love them!!

Anyhow, I think I am getting this stockpiling thing, because my cupboards have never been so full.

What I have been doing is basically buying staples (milk, bread) and fresh veggies for the best prices I can get, and then buying other things when they are on sale, and buying them in multiple quantities...I think that if I didn't shop for anything besides milk and bread veggies for the next 6 weeks, I'd be fine...

It feels so good to have control over things like this...I don't what kept me tied to the chaos for so long!

    I have tried this as well...I don't normally shop at Safeway as they are one of the most expensive grocery stores around my area, but once in awhile they have these wonderful buy one, get one sales and I usually end up buying a half dozen bottle of Ranch dressing (my teenager puts it on EVERYTHING!!) as well as Rice a roni and Campbell's soup...It's nice to have one of those days when you don't know what you're going to cook and you open that pantry and voila, you have dinner RIGHT THERE!!
