I went yesterday to my local mall under the guise of gorcery shopping...see, waht I failed to keep in mind is that grocery shopping happens in the grocery store, which is conveniently located at one end of the mall, so that I can simply avoid the rest of the stores.

Instead, I went in the other end...

Didn't get too out of control (bought some things I had been planning to buy soon anyway) but then I saw the "Play and Freeze" Ice Cream Maker...it was sitting on a sale shelf, and if an inanimate object could smile, it would have been smiling at me.

Yes, I thought, why, my dgs would love to receive such a thing at Christmas...look at it...it's a ball that makes ice cream!!

So I bought it...then I saw a calendar for my dd (something about letting your inner bitch out)...it was also on sale...and oh, look, journal books are on sale too...and those really pretty coloured felt pens...

Any how, fast forward to the grocery store and I was too freaked out by my previous purchases to shop properly...bought basics and rushed back home where it is safe, and there is no temptation.

Except for the ice cream maker, sitting on the coffee table, smiling at me in a "take me out of my box" kind of way, a "you can get another one by Christmas, go on, take me out of my box" manner...wish me luck!
