A frugal Friday evening

My wife stopped at the store on the way home. She bought vidalia onions and mushrooms to dry. She also got some ground chuck and a couple of Boston butts. We sliced four pounds on onions and loaded the dehydrator. Then we package the ground beef for the freezer. Since meat is never trimmed to suit me, I trimmed the butts and we froze them. Just because I have to pay for the fat does not mean I have to eat it. We put them in the crock pot and use it for pulled pork sandwiched. Everything was on sale so we saved money. I just took a lot of time. I guess that is what being frugal really means. Trading your time for money. Most people would not want to do that on a Friday night, but sadly we don't mind a bit. Yeah, we are that boring.
