I saw this evening on the local news that a man from my community was killed in a chainsaw accident. Coincidentally, I spent today using a chainsaw. I remember when, as a boy, my father told me it was time to use a saw along side him instead of just picking up wood. I was terrified of it. [Fannie: The oil I mentioned is dormant oil. It is used for mites and scale. It smothers them. I use it on peach and apple trees. I love Spring. The daffodils are blooming and everything is beginning to green up. Everything starts over new in Spring. It's nature's do-over. Things are new and clean. Hope is alive for a good growing year. Today I applied horticultural oil to the fruit trees. I had planned to do it Thursday except the pump on the sprayer decided not to work. Before I could do anything in the orchard and garden, I am down one-hundred bucks. Of course the delay also cost me the optimum weather conditions. I hope this does not serve as an omen for things to come.
