10 day challenges

I just completed a 10 day challenge. My first challenge was to eliminate the disposable kcups. So, I purchased a set of 4 As Seen On TV Kcups $10 at Rite Aid. This replaces the disposable. Now I just add my much cheaper bagged coffee to the cup and voila. Zippy coffee.
At first, I complained about what a PITA it is to have to do this, but honestly, it really isn't a pain at all. So, if you have a Kuerig, I highly recommend replacing the disposable kcups.
I go through a box a week between work and home. By using the re-usable kcup, I am saving about $10 per week (I have to factor in the cost of the coffee). So it's paid for itself in a week. Every little bit counts.
My next 10 day challenge is to not drive my car for places that are 1 mile and under. This means when I pick up the grandbaby at daycare, I will walk. She'll be bundled up warmly and will enjoy the fresh air. The exception to this is if it is a snow storm or a cold rainy day I will pick her up in the car. I don't want her to be sick.
I'll report in on how it went.
