Little frugal ways....

I actually made a dump salad last night LOL.

I have made dump soup before but never bump salad. It was so hot, that I couldn't bring myself to make what I had planned soooo....
I through some cooked pasta, beans, cuke slices, left over vegetables.... and who knows what else in and VOILA I had a hearty salad and it didn't heat up the kitchen and tasted pretty good.
I served it with bar-b-qued sandwiches.

This morning I was up very early to make cupcakes to take to Orchestra, for my sons birthday.

He has a busy day of rehersals and a performance today.So we will "celebrate" his BD tomorrow.... when we are all at home together.

Hope to get some exercise in this morning before it gets too hot... so I am off...

    The salad sounds good. Yes, hot weather calls for lots of meal creativity. We grill extra meat when we cook outside for easy salads later. Sometimes it's too hot to even want to cook outside, LOL.
