Yesterday was day 1 of my no spend week, and guess what, I spent about $60! It was for flea/tic medicine for our dog. I went to give him his dose for the month and realized we were out! After living through one flea infestation I wasn't about to risk another, so I had to buy the medicine. But I'm hoping that is the only purchase I'll have to make this week.

Its weird since I've vowed not to spend that I'm wanting different foods that what we have in the house so I'm really having...

August's Goals:

After a 3 week vacation back home to Nebraska we had one week before my parents flew out here to spend 5 days with us (or was it the beach?). I absolutely adore my family and have missed them dearly this year since I have moved half way across the country, but vacations & visitors throw me out of my routine.

So mom & dad left yesterday and I am back to normalcy. sigh. Its time to get everything back on track, reset the budget w/ DBF, and lose some WEIGHT!

This past weekend I picked up all sorts of fun stuff to decorate the apartment...FINALLY!

Here's what I got:
*Wooden outdoor folding table (to be used as a dining room table)
*2 Wooden folding chairs
*6, 11x14 picture frames w/ 8x10 mats
*3 black shelves of assorted lengths
*4 unfinished wood frames & some ribbon to connect them and hang them on the wall
*Small spice rack
*Placemats

Now i just need to pick out what...

Well, vacation is over and DBF, Magma & I are home from our 20-day vacation back home to Nebraska. It was chaotic there but we got to see lots of family/friends that we've missed.

And wouldn't you know it that the day after we left Granite (magma's mom) had her second litter of puppies. This time she had 11, 8 survived. We'll see if we have the time to get one of them, I want a little girl named Olga.

Now that we're back in town for a while DBF & I have decided...
