  1. Trying something new

    by , 08-07-2014 at 10:30 PM
I use to buy at least 4 Sunday papers to get the value of couponing. I would download coupons, carefully watch every sales, keep up with points, take surveys in order to save a buck. Though I am still very frugal, I have cut back on a lot things that I use to do. I do not buy the papers anymore. I more careful in what I do buy. Now I just buy the inserts, which saves me 10.00 per week. I print out more coupons since I am able to get my ink at a discount. I would prefer to buy individual ...

  2. Go for what you know

Seeing my first episode of Extreme couponing and I was hooked. I brought all the trappings. The binder, baseball sleeves to keep my coupons in. Tracking sales (or at least trying to). Joining blogs, reward cards and just about anything to stretch a dollar. I also have been tracking how much I am saving. I mean right down to the paper and ink I use to print out my coupons. I have always been creative when it comes to restyling my thrift shop finds. Something in me is compelled to change the item once it is in my possession. From clothes, accessories and furniture. I must put my stamp on it. Lately I have been redesigning some of my old pieces as well as my newly purchases items. My one missing weapon is a sewing machine. Once I purchase that, I will be unstoppable. This will broaden my designing skills even further. Here is my master plan to extend ...
  5. Balance Rewards

    by , 03-08-2013 at 07:07 PM
I am a true believer in rewards cards, surveys and trying to save every dime I can. My new adventure is with Walgreens Balance Rewards Card. Here is the deal. You sign up either in the store or online. Once you have your account, you check to see what items are listed with point value. Not all items have point value. Some items are on sale with the balance reward card. The more you buy, the more your points add up. Even if you use a coupon with the transaction, you still get the points. ...
