  1. Preparing for Winter

    My DH2B and I made a promise today. To not put the heating on, no matter how cold we get, until at least the middle of October, maybe even longer. Even if that means doubling up on the jumpers and spending most of the time under a thick blanket (not complaining!). We like to have candles lit, so I figure I'll stock up on candles while not many people are thinking about them.     Right, this is where I compare what I wanted to what I actually bought and log my totals for my own reference.

    Meal Plan – w/c Monday, 8th June

    Monday: Black Bean Chicken - Was delicious
    Tuesday: At Mum’s - we had sausage casserole
    Wednesday: Farmhouse Omelette was ok
    Thursday: Pork Fajitas lovely!
    Friday: Ellie’s Barbecue ok
    Saturday: Cornish Pasties (find recipe, freeze some) recipe a big success!

  3. A planning-y kind of day

    I got a little carried away today in my lunch hour, and decided to plan the next four week's worth of meals, along with the corresponding shopping lists to go with them. All I'll need to do is add the household/sandwichy/additional kinda stuff and I'll have instant shopping lists without the overspend or unnecessary items that I tend to add. Blah.

    Well, I blog a lot, so I'm used to typing. I had a lovely day yesterday; I tried a new recipe I've never done before and, to be honest, I've always been a little bit afraid of.

    I don't know where I first saw the recipe, but I saw a nice one for a baked onion bhaji.
