Got my freezer last night! I ended getting a larger one because my dad let me use his military discount at lowes, so in the end the total difference was $50 but then I still have a $30 check for babysitting last week. So not bad at all. I am so loving the whole freezer thing. Today I got some OAMC done. I made italian meatballs for meatball subs, 6 hamburger patties for the grill, then boiled the remaining 6lbs of beef and put them into 1lb baggies. But I may only use half at a time because you don't need a full pound for some recipes really. After my dad picks the girl up to take to the park, I'm going to make some homemade italian bread to freeze. Giants had italian bread (the sliced regular bread kind) on sale for .99 so I got 5 loaves and when I looked at the reciept it said it came out to .50 a loaf. I was like....wha? I'm not questioning it!
Bought 4 gallons of milk to freeze. We have a gallon and half left, but I've been streching it with powdered milk. Got a full baggie of green beans now from my garden so now I'm going to make garlicy green beans with lasagna and french bread for dinner tonight...yummy!!!
Today was a nice sunny day, I almost feel like I wasted it because I didn't have any laundry to do, how silly is that? It's pretty warm outside, like mid 80's but I kept the window shades closed and opened up some windows with no direct sunlight with some fans running, so it's fairly cool in here. I want to see if we can run out the rest of June without use of the A/C.
I know I'm starting to run myself ragged due to the fibromyalgia, but I just need to press on. One day nearly killing myself means I'll have a whole month to take it easy, well as easy as a woman with a preschooler, housechores, budget to balance and lazy husband can get I should say![]()
